2. Fees
2.1. Online E-Learning: Fees are based on a per-product basis and subject to change without prior notice.
2.2. Physical classroom presentations: You will need to request a quotation from Integrity Academy when you want physical classroom activities, as we need to contract with Facilitators that charge us a separate fee.
2.3. For Online presentations, e.g. MSTeams, SKYPE, ZOOM, etc. you will need to request a quotation from Integrity Academy.
2.4. Inclusive fees: The first assessment for a qualification, e.g. Formative and Summative Assessments are inclusive of the fees. Please see 3.1 for re-assessments.
2.5. All the fees will be displayed on the website at the specific product.
2.6. When you decide that you want us to print and courier material to you, the facility at checkout will calculate the fees for the printing of the books and the designated area to which it must be couriered.
 
3. Additional Fees
3.1. Re-assessments:
3.1.1. Summative re-assessment (Closed book exam)
3.1.1.1. We charge a fee of R1 150.00 for every summative re-assessment in regions outside of Pretoria. The cost consists of the Invigilation fee, courier fee and re-assessment fee payable. For the Pretoria students the fee will be R600.00.
3.1.1.2. We charge a Courier fee of R215.00 for areas outside Pretoria.
3.1.1.3. Limited to 2 (two) summative re-assessments per Skills Programme and failing to PASS, you will have to re-register and pay for the Skills Programme again.
For example:
1st Summative assessment = 1 attempt.
2nd Summative assessment (Re-assessment 1) = 2nd attempt.
3rd Summative assessment (Re-assessment 2) = 3rd and FINAL attempt.
3.1.1.3 A re-write for a summative assessment passed is available for a fee of R1 150.00 per summative assessment.
NOTE: You will only have one opportunity to re-write for a higher mark. The second attempt will count towards the final mark.
3.1.2 Formative re-assessment
3.1.2.1 Online E-Learning Assessment: Once-off opportunity – one official opportunity contributing towards the final formative assessment mark.
3.1.2.2 Unit Standard Workbook per Skills Programme:
We charge a fee of R650.00 for every time a Unit Standard is re-assessed.
Limited to 2 (two) re-assessments per Skills Programme and failing to PASS, you will have to re-register and pay for the Skills Programme again.
For example:
1st case study = 1 attempt
2nd case study (Re-assessment 1) = 2nd attempt
3rd case study (Re-assessment 2) = 3rd and FINAL attempt
3.2. Re-mark
Refer to the Integrity Academy Appeals Procedure. We allow a request for a remark if a learner achieved from 47% to 49.49%.
3.2.1. The charge for the remark is R1 150.00 per summative assessment.
3.2.2. We will not refund remark fees if the result stays the same.
3.2.3. If you have already attempted a re-assessment on a specific paper, this would mean that you have accepted the 1st paper’s result, and we will not grant a remark. Note that you will have 30 days to appeal a mark on a assignment or summative assessment from the day the result is released. Should you not appeal in this time frame, you will need to re-write the paper.
 
3.3. Oral Assessment
3.3.1. We charge R5 900.00 per oral assessment on the summative only (only available to people with reading and writing disabilities; medical certificate required*).
 
3.4. Non-attendance
3.4.1. We charge R1 150.00 per workshop/summative assessment – refer to number 6 below for detail on non-attendance.
 
3.5. Non-submission of formative assessment
3.5.1. We charge R600.00 for each formative assessment not submitted within six months of registration.
 
4. Payments
4.1. Methods of payment: EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), cash deposit at bank or Credit/Debit cards via the website. No cash or cheques accepted.
4.2. The finance department will send a pro forma tax invoice and approve the online registration as soon as payment is received or confirmed.
4.3. You need to make payment within 1 (one) business day after registration for each of the Skills Programmes or courses.
4.4. Ensure to use your proforma invoice number as a reference when making the payment.
4.5. Please submit proof of payment to the Finance Department after receiving the pro forma invoice and at least 1 (one) working day before a workshop and/or assessment date. Note we will not release study material and/or results before proof of payment is received.
4.6. If payment is overdue for more than 30 calendar days, we will charge a deferred fee of R1 950.00 for every 30 days outstanding.

5. Cancellation & Refunds
5.1. In case of a cancellation after registration, but before the material or Skill Programme/Learning Unit was accessed (whether viewed or downloaded) on the website, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. If the material or Skill Programme/Learning Unit was accessed (whether viewed or downloaded) a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
5.2. A 100% cancellation fee (thus no refund) will apply if any material (whether viewed or downloaded) or Skill Programme/Learning Unit has been received, accessed online or workshop attended (whether viewed or downloaded).
5.3. Suppose the full amount for the qualification has been paid, and the student drops out mid-qualification (after attending at least 1 (one) Skills Programme) without a valid reason. In that case, we reserve the right not to refund the remainder of the fees.
5.4. Approved substitutes (candidates complying with the qualification access requirements) are welcome at no extra charge if all required documentation reaches us 5 (five) working days before the workshop.
5.5. Please see the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25, 2002, Section 44(1) (a), (b), 44(2), 44(3), 44(4). This section deals with the 7-day Cooling-off period.
5.6. See the Consumer Protection Act 68, 2008, Section 16(1) as it applies to the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25, 2002.
6. Attendance; Submission & Completion
6.1. A student has 6 (six) months to complete each Skills Programme/Course and up to a maximum of 24 (twenty-four) months (qualifications only, re-assessments included) to complete the full qualification . If unsuccessful, a student will need to re-register, and pay in full for the whole qualification, again. We will not enter negotiations regarding extensions unless the student provides us with medical reasons* from their medical practitioner*.
6.2. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange with Integrity Academy when they are ready to write the Summative Exam. Integrity Academy will then confirm the venue and plan with an Invigilator to be present at the Summative Exam.
6.3. When we make available online Summative Exams, the student will need to sign a consent form, providing Integrity Academy to do Proctoring and video capturing during the online exam.
6.4. Courses, e.g. Regulatory programmes like RE1, RE3, RE4, RE5, CPD and Class of Business, will be available for a maximum period of six months, after which you will need to re-register and make payment for the course.
6.5. If a student cannot attend an assessment date as scheduled, he/she must provide the customer care department** with the reason at least 10 (ten) working days before the scheduled assessment. If not, the non-attendance fee mentioned in clause 2.4 will apply.
6.6. If a student does not attend a scheduled assessment and such a student is absent without a valid reason* or a pardon (refer to clause 3.4), we will charge the non-attendance fee for that assessment (refer to clause 3.4). Since the student missed the assessment, the student can write on the re-assessment date or another scheduled assessment date pre-arranged with the Customer Care Department. If you do not attend the re-assessment date or pre-arranged date, the non-attendance fee will apply.
6.7. No extensions for submission or assessment will be granted without a valid reason* or pardon. If a student wishes to reschedule his/her assessment or submission date, they must communicate this to the Customer Care Department** within 10 (ten) working days. We charge R1 150.00 for rescheduling if a valid reason* is not provided or we did not grant a pardon.
6.8. Suppose a student does not submit his/her formative assessment without a valid reason within six months from the registration, we will not permit the student to write the summative assessment, and the non-attendance fee will apply.
6.9. Requirements to be met/We will find a student competent if:

  • A student obtains at least 50% in the Formative Assessments per Unit Standard; and
  • A student obtains at least 50% per Unit Standard in the Summative Assessment; and
  • A student obtained the minimum pass rate of 50% in the summative assessment, case study and online e-learning assessment.

6.10. The requirement for the Occupational Certificate: Financial Advisor: NQF Level 6

  • A student must obtain at least 70% per Topic in the formative assignments;
  • A student must complete the Workplace Assignment, which we will assess and moderate;
  • A student must obtain at least 70% in the External Integrated Summative Assessment, which INSETA takes off as AQP.

6.11. The main assessment centres for Integrity Academy are as follows: Integrity Academy Head Office: 762 Jacqueline Drive, Garsfontein x 4, Pretoria. Examinations in outlying areas need to be arranged with the Integrity Academy Customer Care Department and cannot be guaranteed.
6.12. Integrity Academy will not accept responsibility for any postal, mailing/couriering of letters, and/or certificates and/or material/workbooks/case studies.
6.13. We will e-mail competency letters; the student needs to collect certificates at Integrity Academy’s Garsfontein head office.
6.14. A student may instruct a courier to collect his/her certificate/documentation at his/her own cost.
6.15. Integrity Academy will not be held liable for any damages or loss of the above mentioned.
7. Plagiarism
7.1. Integrity Academy emphasises integrity and ethical behaviour regarding preparing all formative- and summative assessments submitted for academic evaluation. Students who are found guilty of plagiarism by an assessor and supported by a moderator will forfeit all credits for the assessment(s) concerned.
7.2. Besides, we will refer the matter to:
7.2.1. The student’s employer (direct manager) and the Human Resources representative of the student’s employer, for disciplinary action to be taken;
7.2.2. The INSETA/QCTO/FSCA, where applicable.
7.3. When a student is found guilty of copying and/or plagiarism, the moderation and all other costs will be for the student’s account. We will not award the credits/qualification to the student.
7.4. Plagiarism is considered a serious violation of Integrity Academy’s regulations and may lead to your suspension from Integrity Academy without any refund.
7.5. A student will be found guilty of plagiarism when he/she extracts information from a book, article, web page or any other information source without acknowledging the original and/or pretends that it is his/her own work. It does not only apply to cases where you quote verbatim but also when you present someone else’s work in a somewhat amended (paraphrased) format or when you use someone else’s arguments or ideas without the necessary acknowledgement. You are guilty of plagiarism if you copy and paste information directly from an electronic source (e.g. website, e-mail message, electronic journal article, or CD ROM), without paraphrasing it or placing it in quotation marks, even if you acknowledge the source. You are not allowed to submit another student’s previous work as your own. Furthermore, you are not allowed to let anyone copy or use your work to present it as his/her own.
8. Results
8.1. All results assessed by our assessors are subject to moderation or internal audits/ verification.
8.2. Therefore, a Moderator/Quality Assurer/Auditor/Verifier can overturn a student’s results at any time.
8.3. Integrity Academy will inform a student if the Moderator/Quality Assurer/ Auditor/Verifier overturned the results. The student herewith accepts the decision and recommendations.
9. General
9.1. We will not provide refreshments at a workshop, but lunch arrangements are for the student/clients account.
9.2. Study material, assessments, as well as workshops, will only be provided in English.
9.3. All international students will be responsible for:
9.3.1. Arranging and payment for study material collection via courier at their cost at the Integrity Academy – 762 Jacqueline Drive, Garsfontein x 4, Pretoria, Head office;
9.3.2. Attend the scheduled assessment at the prescribed venue.
9.4. Viewing summative assessments must be pre-arranged with the results department at least 10 (ten) working days in advance. We will not make amendments to the results during the viewing session. If a student wants to refer to the summative assessment for a re-mark, clause 2.2 will apply.
9.5. The Student will arrange all personal tutorial sessions with an Integrity Academy subject matter expert. We charge a fee of R 1 150.00 per hour. This will include personal sessions, MSTeams, SKYPE or, Zoom meetings.
9.6. Viewing of written summative assessment:
9.6.1. A student will be able to view his/her summative assessment if the viewing session is arranged with the Results Department within a reasonable time (see clause 8.4);
9.6.2. The Results Department will formally book a viewing session with the student;
9.6.3. The student may not take any notes during the viewing session;
9.6.4. The student may not make a copy of the summative assessment.
DISCLAIMER: Integrity Academy will endeavour to prepare the student for the assessments to be completed and submitted. The student cannot hold Integrity Academy responsible if he/she fails the assessment. Besides, if a student’s studies carry over to a new Academic Year, they are automatically bound by the Terms and Conditions applicable to the New Year.
 
NOTE: We will only award The National Certificate in Wealth Management NQF Level 5, The Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) Wealth Management: NQF Level 4, The Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) Short-Term: NQF Level 4 and the credits associated with these qualifications once completed and verified by INSETA.
 
NOTE: The Occupational Certificate: Insurance Underwriter: NQF Level 5 and the Occupational Certificate: Financial Advisor: NQF Level 6, with all its associated part qualifications, will be assessed online. The learner also needs to complete a Workplace Assignment. It will be assessed and moderated. Once all these requirements are satisfied, Integrity Academy will contact INSETA and QCTO to arrange for the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA). It will be a final exam at the end of the qualifications, taken off by the Assessment Quality Partner (AQP), INSETA, at their venues. There will be a fee payable to the AQP for the final exam.
*A valid reason is defined as a medical condition supported by a medical certificate; or death in the family, supported by a death certificate. You need to submit the certificate(s) no later than three weeks after the scheduled date missed. For any other reasons, submit your request to the Integrity Academy Programme Coordinator for evaluation for a pardon.
